Bailment Disclosure
Version 1.0 · Effective
This Bailment Disclosure explains the legal arrangement under which your vaulted cards are held. When you take title to a unit on Grail Mix, the physical slab remains in the holding shop's secured vault under a bailment: you are the owner, and the shop is the bailee holding your property for safekeeping until you redeem it or sell it back.
Because the slab is your property and not an asset of the shop, it does not become part of the shop's estate in an insolvency. Each participating shop maintains insurance over custodied units, and shops in lapsed insurance standing cannot list or sell additional units until coverage is restored.
You may request shipment of your slab at any time through redemption, subject to the shipping process described in the Terms of Service. The platform can compel a holding shop to ship your property, and if a shop cannot produce your slab, the make-whole process applies: you receive the recorded value of the unit as store credit.
